Kung Fu Tea, the popular Brooklyn-based bubble tea brand, is expanding further into the Boston Area. Peter Mayfield of ABG Commercial was the sole broker in leasing the 1,460 square foot street level retail space to Kung Fu Tea, located at 3 Pleasant St. in Malden. This property makes the fourth location in the Boston area for Kung Fu Tea. Their other Boston area locations include Allston, Chinatown, and they have a store at Symphony Station coming soon.
Kung Fu Tea’s corporate headquarters are located in New York City, and they have 16 retail stores in the New York City area. In addition to their Boston and New York locations they have stores in Texas, Georgia, California, Taiwan, China and Southeast Asia. Kung Fu Tea specializes in bubble tea, most commonly known as a milk based tea with large tapioca pearls in it. The menu at Kung Fu Tea includes seven milk based bubble teas, 12 specialty drinks, and a total of 53 drink flavors. Kung Fu Tea is slated to open in Spring of 2014, after a build out.
