Come and join the festival fun!

Ever heard of the Together Fest? This electronic music and technology festival returns May 11th-18th. The fifth festival throughout the years is in the works and organizers stated that they’ll be posting performance and booking information as they receive it. Yasiin Bey, known as Mos Def until the summer of 2011, will be playing in Boston’s Wilbur Theatre on May 15th. Tickets range from $35-$45, or are included with the purchase of festival passes.

This festival is known for standing out among the sounds of techno and electronica music, and there are some changes in this year’s festival from previous years. Over the years the festival has been expanding as hip-hop culture has continued to grow and become a larger role of the festival. This year there will be surprise new musical forms.

Concerts will take place not only in Boston’s Wilbur Theatre, but also at The Middle East in Central Square. Robert Hood will perform here on May 14th. Concerts will also be held at The Sinclair in Harvard Square. A Vienna-bases Sohn show will be held at here on May 12th. The festival will not only have just concerts, but presentations, demonstrations, film screenings, music technology seminars, and meet-ups all throughout Cambridge and Boston.

Last year’s festival took over Cambridge Clubs and even was in venues such as the ImprovBoston comedy club located in Central Square. This festival “coincided with the revival of the Central Square World’s Fair and its giant, outdoor concert and annual art event, Cambridge Open Studios”.

This is an event you don’t want to miss! There will be many events and concerts that will all be included with the purchase of a festival pass. Tune in later for more information as it gets closer to the event!
