Watertown, MA April 16, 2019: Bernard Gibbons of Associated Brokerage Group represented Empire Management in the $7 million sale of the property located at 66 Galen Street in Watertown to Boston Development Group. Strategically located in Watertown Square the site is uniquely positioned between the Watertown Arsenal buildings and Newton Corner with excellent access to the Massachusetts Turnpike and Routes 16 and 20.

“There was a tremendous level of interest in this site because of its location right in the heart of Watertown Square. Its proximity to public transportation with connectivity to Downtown Boston, Harvard and Central Square Cambridge as well as Newton and Allston Brighton made this a transit-oriented development site.” said Gibbons. “After discussions with dozens of developers with ideas ranging from mixed use development to retail cannabis, Boston Development Group’s proposal to build a 100,000 square foot lab/life science building was well received by the city of Watertown.

Founded over fifty years ago, Boston Development Group has expanded on its early visionary role as a residential developer and builder to become a dynamic, multi-faceted real estate organization. The company has grown into a respected leader in the field of real estate, specializing in the acquisition, development and management of commercial and residential properties.
