AI Insurtech Startup Quandri to Open Boston Office, Expanding U.S. Presence

Quandri, a British Columbia-based insurtech company using AI to streamline insurance agency operations, plans to open a Boston office to expand its presence in North America. Founded in 2021 by brothers Jackson and Jamieson Fregeau, the company’s platform accelerates policy renewals, generates updated quotes, and reduces repetitive work for agents.

The Boston expansion follows a $12 million funding round led by Framework Venture Partners, bringing Quandri’s total funding to over $20 million. The company plans to hire approximately 15 employees by early 2026, contributing to its current workforce of 75 full-time staff, with an additional 40 hires planned this year.

Boston’s established insurtech ecosystem, including companies such as Gradient AI, Openly, and Hi Marley, makes the city an attractive hub for talent and client engagement. “With our head office in Vancouver, we wanted East Coast coverage to facilitate in-person time with customers and partners,” said Jackson Fregeau, CEO and co-founder.

Since closing its $8.5 million Series A in 2023, Quandri has increased revenue 15-fold and expanded its customer base to over 100 agencies and brokerages across Canada and the U.S. Investors include Fuse, Defined Capital, and Intact Ventures.
