Copa Airlines has announced a new, non-stop flight from Boston to Panama City.
The airline, which is based in Panama City, has experienced industry high growth in recent years. In fact, the airline reported an incredible 17.9% profit margin for the 2012 year.
The flights will commence this summer and leave from Boston’s Logan Airport daily. The cost will be approximately $600 dollars each way for the 5 ½ hour flight.
Copa CEO Pedro Heilbron says, “We’re filling a void.” There is no other airline that flies non-stop to Latin America from Boston.
Boston is currently the largest U.S. Market that does not have daily non-stop flights to Latin America. Copa will operate a Boeing 737-700 with a total of 124 passenger seats on-board In addition, all flights attendants will be bilingual.
