Paint bars make a mark on Boston

A new trend called paint-and-sip is making a mark on Boston. In 2010, Jill Kerner Schon opened The Paint Bar, a unique business that teaches costumers how to paint, while serving wine and other beverages. The Paint Bar was the first business of its kind to open up in the area, however, soon after the Urban Art Bar in South Boston, the DOTArtBar in Dorchester, and The Artist Bar all opened up shop.

Jennifer Clement, owner of The Artist Bar, reaches new clients by travelling to them. She sets up pop-up shops in local venues to attract new customers. Clement says, “I’m about (customers) having fun and building confidence and I think the cocktails add to the loosening up and carefree attitude.” Sounds like a unique and relaxing experience!
